Kuwait Projects Company (Holding), known as KIPCO, has been recognized for its ongoing commitment to sustainability, with its Group CEO, Sheikha Dana Naser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, being named one of Forbes Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders for the fourth consecutive year. The recognition, awarded in the category of investment and holding companies, was presented during the fourth Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders Summit held in Abu Dhabi from October 19 to 20. The summit, themed “Resilience for a Sustainable Future,” took place under the auspices of the United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al-Dahak Al-Shamsi.

Meshari Al-Duhaim, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at KIPCO, accepted the award on behalf of the company. The accolade highlights KIPCO’s coordinated efforts to promote sustainability across its diverse portfolio of companies. Central to these efforts is KIPCO’s Sustainability Working Group, which unites representatives from various Group companies to exchange knowledge, harmonize sustainability practices, and enhance reporting, governance, and environmental responsibility.

Earlier this year, KIPCO released its fifth annual Sustainability Report under the title “Growth with Purpose: Advancing as One,” which documents the Group’s collective progress toward shared environmental and social goals. According to Eman Al-Awadhi, Group Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at KIPCO, the repeated recognition reflects the Group’s genuine ambition to embed sustainability into its core operations rather than merely fulfilling reporting requirements. “It is about translating commitments into action, strengthening governance, and integrating responsible practices across our businesses,” Al-Awadhi said. She added that aligning Group companies around sustainability priorities helps build resilience and supports long-term value creation for shareholders and the communities KIPCO serves.

The Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders Summit convened leaders from both public and private sectors to discuss challenges and opportunities related to sustainability, emphasizing the importance of resilient institutions in steering development toward more sustainable futures.
