Tyler Bowyer, chief operating officer of Turning Point Action, the youth-focused political group established by Kirk, shared images of the damaged statue and a separate spray-painted sign on the social media platform X. Bowyer described the incident as an act committed by "radical criminals," expressing condemnation of the vandalism.
Phoenix police confirmed that they responded to reports of the vandalism early Sunday morning at the Turning Point headquarters. Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that might help identify those responsible.
Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on September 10, 2025, during an event organized by Turning Point in Utah. Tyler Robinson, the individual accused of the killing, has entered a plea of not guilty to murder charges. If convicted, Robinson could face the death penalty.
