Kirstie Allsopp, the television presenter known for "Location, Location, Location," was airlifted to hospital after sustaining a broken leg during a birthday walk in North Devon. The incident occurred on August 31 while she was celebrating her birthday at Meadowgate, a holiday cottage she frequently visits.

Allsopp posted images on social media showing her being transported in an ambulance, along with an X-ray revealing a fractured tibia in her left leg. The photographs also indicated she had cuts on her face and was receiving oxygen through breathing tubes. She explained that the injury happened after she slipped on a muddy section of a steep path while returning from a picnic on the beach at Welcombe Mouth.

Following the fall, her son, Oscar, sought assistance, and emergency responders, including the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Devon Air Ambulance, facilitated her transfer to Barnstaple Hospital. After receiving substantial pain relief, Allsopp underwent surgery to repair the injury.

In a social media update, she expressed gratitude for the medical care she received, praising the hospital staff for their kindness and professionalism. She is expected to recover while wearing a cast and using a boot and crutches to aid mobility. Despite the accident, Allsopp highlighted that visiting Meadowgate for her birthday and enjoying the traditional picnic and swim remains a cherished annual tradition for her family.
