Klaus Moeller, who has managed offshore wind projects worldwide, has been leading the Vineyard Wind initiative as its CEO for the past four years. This project stands out as one of the most prominent and contentious in his career, given the complex regulatory and political environment.

Vineyard Wind, a joint venture between Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Avingrid, has secured more than $3.5 billion in funding since its inception over a decade ago. The project recently marked a significant milestone with the completion of Vineyard Wind 1, which features 62 turbines positioned approximately 15 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, near Martha’s Vineyard.

Moeller faces a challenging landscape as he advances the project amid resistance from the previous U.S. administration, which had sought to halt offshore wind developments.
