Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker revealed that they experienced a miscarriage early in their relationship, disclosing the news in the documentary “Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear,” which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday. The couple, who began dating in 2021, said Kardashian became pregnant approximately six months into their relationship. They learned they were expecting a girl, whom they intended to name Tulip, but at a three-month ultrasound, doctors informed them that the baby no longer had a heartbeat.
Kardashian, 47, described the experience as devastating, noting that both she and Barker, 50, were deeply affected by the loss. “We cried for days,” she said during an interview featured in the film. Following the miscarriage, the couple pursued additional efforts to expand their family, including five rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF) over an eight-month period. In May 2023, the pair announced they had decided to cease IVF treatments and aimed to conceive naturally. The following month, Kardashian announced her pregnancy, and the couple welcomed their son, Rocky, in November 2023.
Kardashian and Barker were married in May 2022, cementing a high-profile partnership that has drawn significant public attention. Their openness about their fertility challenges sheds light on the couple’s private struggles amidst their otherwise public lives.
In other social news, actress Ali Wentworth hosted a murder mystery dinner party in the Hamptons to celebrate Brooke Shields’ Acorn TV series “You’re Killing Me.” The event featured interactive whodunit performances by unknown actors, engaging guests in solving the staged cases as fictional characters “died” one after another. Attendees included Lauren Graham, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, Christie Brinkley, Katie Couric, Bobbi Brown, Linda Wells, Andrew Saffir, Daniel Benedict, and AMC Global Media CEO Kristin Dolan. The night took a humorous turn when Wentworth accidentally dropped a dinner knife on Meg Ryan’s leg, jokingly exclaiming, “I just killed Meg Ryan!”
