Singer-songwriter Ejae, known for her role in the 2025 film KPop Demon Hunters, married her fiancé Sam Kim in Seoul on October 17. The couple tied the knot at Stage 28, a venue constructed on the site of Ejae’s grandparents’ former home. The garden-themed ceremony and reception were shared through photos posted on Instagram by both Ejae and Vogue Weddings on October 20.

Ejae wore a custom-made tulle gown designed by bridal label Danielle Frankel, featuring a strapless neckline, a bubbled hem, and a nude chiffon layer. Kim, a Korean-American music producer, wore a monochrome bespoke tuxedo. Following the wedding ceremony, the couple held a reception in a glass house on the property. They also participated in a traditional “pyebaek” ceremony, where newlyweds honor their families with customary rituals, and were seen dressed in traditional Korean attire during the event.

The couple first met in May 2017, introduced by a mutual friend for a songwriting session at Kim’s home studio. They began dating thereafter and reportedly got engaged in late 2023, although some reports state that Kim’s proposal occurred in June 2025. Initially, the couple planned to hold their wedding in Los Angeles in November but later moved the date up to October and chose Seoul as the location. Ejae described the planning process as “hectic and a little stressful,” noting that organizing the event took about four months but ultimately came together smoothly.

Ejae is the granddaughter of veteran South Korean actor Shin Young-kyun and was previously a K-pop trainee at SM Entertainment, one of South Korea’s leading music agencies. Although she did not officially debut as a soloist or group member, her career breakthrough came when she provided the singing voice for the character Rumi in KPop Demon Hunters. She also co-wrote the song “Golden,” which won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media in February. Ejae performed the song alongside Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, who voiced characters Mira and Zoey in the film; both artists attended the wedding.
