Following the recent sellout performance by IVE at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, South Korea’s burgeoning influence on the Australian music scene shows no signs of slowing. Seven-member girl group BABYMONS7ER is set to bring their CHOOM World Tour to Australia and New Zealand this December, with concerts scheduled in Auckland, Melbourne, and Sydney.

BABYMONS7ER will perform at Sydney’s Afterpay Arena on December 13, marking their debut visit to Australia since forming in 2024. The group has rapidly risen to prominence with a string of K-pop hits including "Sheesh," "Batter Up," and "Drip." Managed by YG Entertainment, the same agency behind global sensation Blackpink, BABYMONS7ER—also known by the abbreviated name BAEMON—have built a reputation for their compelling blend of strong vocals, dynamic rap segments, and a distinctive hip-hop and R&B influenced sound.

Comprised of members Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita, the group has broadened their appeal beyond music, gaining traction in fashion, beauty, and acting sectors. Their rising popularity underscores Australia’s increasing status as a key destination for South Korean artists in their international touring schedules.

The announcement of BABYMONS7ER’s tour complements a series of major K-pop events in Australia, following recent and upcoming visits by acts such as TWICE, ITZY, Jay Park, and ATEEZ. Looking ahead, BTS, the male K-pop powerhouse, is also scheduled to return for their Arirang World Tour in February after a hiatus due to solo projects and mandatory military service in South Korea.

BABYMONS7ER are currently launching the initial leg of their CHOOM World Tour in Seoul on June 26, with subsequent stops planned in Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia before arriving in Australasia later this year. This growing influx of K-pop tours reflects the sustained global demand for South Korean music and culture.
