The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) have reaffirmed their strong partnership during a recent meeting held at the KRCS headquarters in Kuwait City on July 21, 2026. Anne Montavon, head of the ICRC’s regional delegation, highlighted the KRCS as a vital partner in various humanitarian initiatives both regionally and internationally.
Montavon praised the society’s active role within the international humanitarian community and described the cooperation between the ICRC and KRCS as a successful model based on effective coordination and the exchange of expertise. She underlined the ICRC’s commitment to expanding joint efforts and developing programs aimed at addressing growing humanitarian challenges worldwide, with a particular focus on assisting the most vulnerable populations.
