KSQ Relaunches Kannada Paathashala to Promote Language and Culture Abroad

Madhu, Vice President Sri Anil Bhasagi, along with Managing Committee members and Kannada language enthusiasts.

Dr. Purushottama Bilimale, President of the Karnataka Government Kannada Development Authority, conducted a special training workshop for Kannada Paathashala teachers and parents ahead of the relaunch. The workshop focused on adopting age-appropriate teaching methods, integrating the curriculum systematically, and implementing effective strategies to boost children's engagement and participation in language learning.

The Kannada Paathashala now offers structured classes every Friday at 9:30 a.m., organised into three levels tailored to different learning stages. To foster a sense of unity and equality among students, KSQ distributed T-shirts and water bottles to all participants. This approach is part of a broader effort to create a welcoming environment that promotes cultural pride and inclusivity.

KSQ’s Managing Committee played a central role in planning and executing the relaunch, dedicating significant time and resources to ensure the programme’s success. The association emphasised the importance of preserving the mother tongue and cultural identity amid globalization and urged Kannadigas in Qatar to enroll their children to help maintain and revive the language and traditions.
