Students from the College of Architecture at Kuwait University visited the offices of Kuwait Times and Kuwait News on Wednesday to gain insight into the newspaper production process. The visit provided an opportunity for the students to engage with reporters and content creators and to learn about the history and operations of Kuwait Times, which is recognized as the country’s oldest English-language newspaper.

During the tour, journalists explained the various stages involved in putting together a daily newspaper. This included how stories are assigned and written by reporters, reviewed and edited by editors, and then formatted for publication. The students were shown several key areas within the news operation, including the editorial newsroom, content creation room, studio, newspaper archive, and printing press.

Throughout the visit, the students expressed interest in the challenges facing newspapers today, such as funding difficulties, the transition to digital platforms, and the pressure to keep up with the rapid pace of news dissemination. Journalists also shared insights into ongoing projects at Kuwait Times and Kuwait News, offering the students a glimpse into future developments.

The visit highlighted the collaborative effort and various skills required in producing a daily newspaper, providing the architecture students with a new perspective on media production and teamwork behind every published story.
