Development at the Integrated Development Region of South Selangor (Idriss) has reached key milestones, as NCT Alliance Bhd handed over industrial units in Phase 1 of the NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) and expanded its infrastructure partnerships. The project site is located in Kuala Langat, Selangor.

Phase 1 of NSIP covers 280 industrial units equipped with solar technology and has achieved nearly 90% take-up. Following the groundbreaking of Phase 2 last year, work has advanced to include 241 additional units.

Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari highlighted the importance of NSIP to both Idriss and Selangor’s broader industrial growth during a ceremony marking these project milestones. He emphasized the development’s potential to attract high-value investments and create quality jobs that will support the state's economic expansion.

NCT Alliance executive director Yap Chun Theng described the industrial park as a long-term investment designed to facilitate Malaysia’s shift toward higher-value manufacturing, digitalisation, and smart factory operations. He noted the project’s alignment with Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan 2030 and the Second Selangor Plan (RS-2), particularly in areas such as economic competitiveness, sustainability, balanced development, and productivity.

Yap highlighted Selangor’s strategic location and state-backed incentives as factors driving strong demand for industrial and logistics infrastructure. He also explained that the development follows the United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s Eco-Industrial Park principles, aiming to evolve into a Managed Industrial Ecosystem and eventually develop a replicable Malaysian Managed Industrial Park (MIP) model for international markets.

Technology integration forms a core part of NSIP’s operational model. In partnership with TM One, NCT Alliance has established a smart command centre that centralizes data, security, infrastructure monitoring, and park management. Additionally, the NSIP offers digital platforms such as NCT-G Big Apps, which connects businesses within the community, and the G-Exchange Business Partnership Programme, designed to facilitate strategic relationships among tenants.

Sustainability measures are embedded within the park’s infrastructure, including solar-ready factories, rainwater harvesting systems, and the Blue and Green Force initiative. The development also incorporates a functional canal integrated with stormwater and detention systems to support water management and flood resilience.

At the event, NCT Alliance received the Masters Services Agreement for Managed Industrial Park (MIP) from the Kuala Langat Municipal Council. The company also signed collaboration memorandums with SIRIM Bhd and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), aiming to offer tenants enhanced access to certification services, industry expertise, digital capabilities, and technological support.

The ceremony was attended by Selangor state investment, trade and mobility committee chairman Ng Sze Han, NCT Alliance executive chairman and group managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy, and executive director Yap Fook Choy.
