During the visit, the Finnish delegation toured the Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Center for Chemical Defense and Radiological Monitoring, part of Kuwait’s National Guard. The delegation received briefings on the center’s infrastructure and capabilities, which encompass tracking radiation levels and hazardous materials via a network of monitoring stations across the country.

Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraian, Chief of the General Staff of the Army, also met with Syrjalä to discuss potential avenues for military collaboration and further strengthening bilateral relations between Kuwait and Finland.

Economic cooperation was addressed at the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where Assistant Director General Firas Al-Awda emphasized the importance of expanding trade and partnerships in sectors such as technology, cybersecurity, and infrastructure development.
