The Ambassador of Kuwait to the United Kingdom, Bader Almunayekh, met with the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Dame Susan Langley, on Monday to discuss opportunities for enhancing economic and investment cooperation between Kuwait and the UK. The meeting took place in London and was attended by several members of the British aristocracy, foreign diplomats, and representatives from the UK private sector.

During the discussions, both sides focused on ways to deepen bilateral ties in the context of the recently signed Free Trade Agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United Kingdom. The agreement is seen as a framework to boost trade, investment, and economic collaboration between the two regions.

The Kuwaiti Embassy in London highlighted that the talks aimed to build on the existing partnership and leverage the FTA to create new commercial opportunities. Participants explored various avenues for investment and cooperation, reflecting mutual interest in expanding economic relations.

The meeting underscores the ongoing efforts by both Kuwait and the UK to strengthen their commercial linkages following the trade agreement, which is designed to facilitate market access and promote economic growth on both sides.
