KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and Bahrain’s Interior Minister, General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, underscored their commitment to strengthening Gulf security during a meeting held on May 17.
The discussion, held in Kuwait City, highlighted the enduring fraternal and historic ties between Kuwait and Bahrain, with Sheikh Fahad reaffirming Kuwait’s full support for Bahrain’s security and stability. He commended the Bahraini security agencies for their effective and vigilant response to various security challenges.
Both officials reviewed recent regional and international developments, emphasizing their countries’ shared interest in reinforcing the foundations of security and stability across the Gulf region. They expressed mutual support for initiatives aligned with the aspirations of their respective leaderships and populations.
Following the meeting, General Sheikh Rashid departed Kuwait and was accompanied to Kuwait International Airport by Sheikh Fahad and senior security officials.
