KUWAIT CITY — His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain, along with his delegation at Bayan Palace on Sunday. The Bahraini minister’s visit to Kuwait was part of an official delegation exchange aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
The meeting was also attended by several high-ranking Kuwaiti officials, including Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Head of the Diwan of the Crown Prince Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and other senior government representatives.
Separately on Sunday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and Defense Minister Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah in a series of official engagements. The Crown Prince also held individual meetings with both Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah and Defense Minister Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah.
In addition to these diplomatic activities, His Highness the Crown Prince will preside over and attend the final match of the His Highness the Crown Prince Cup, scheduled for Monday evening at 7:15 pm local time. The game, to be held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, will feature the Kuwait Sports Club and Al-Arabi Sports Club.
Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma emphasized the significance of the Crown Prince’s patronage for the event, noting that it underscores the leadership’s commitment to supporting the sports sector. According to Al-Jalahma, this high-level attention highlights the role of sports in youth empowerment, fostering competitive spirit, and promoting national accomplishments within Kuwait.
