Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower announced on Tuesday the conclusion of the seasonal ban on outdoor work, in line with Ministerial Decision No. 3 of 2006. This annual restriction aims to regulate labor activities during periods of extreme heat and unfavorable weather conditions to safeguard workers’ health.

The authority emphasized the ongoing responsibility of employers to maintain safe working environments and ensure adequate conditions to protect employees from heat-related risks. It underscored that despite the lifting of the ban, employers must continue adhering to occupational health and safety standards.

Officials also reaffirmed their commitment to monitoring compliance and stated that they will take appropriate enforcement actions against those who violate the regulations. The decision marks the end of a precautionary measure that is typically enforced during Kuwait’s hottest months to reduce heat exposure for outdoor laborers.
