Competing against athletes from 15 countries, the Kuwaiti squad secured three medals: a gold in the Masters event for girls, a silver in the singles girls’ competition, and a bronze in the boys’ doubles event.

Sharifa Iskandar was the standout performer, capturing the gold medal in the Masters category and adding a silver medal in the singles competition. Her achievements were described as unprecedented in the context of women’s bowling across Gulf and Arab nations. In the boys’ doubles event, teammates Hussein Qasim and Fahad Al-Saqabi earned the bronze medal, contributing to Kuwait’s overall medal tally.

Kuwait’s team consisted of 12 players—eight boys and four girls—and finished fourth in the overall tournament standings. This placement was seen as indicative of the growing strength and improved performance of Kuwait’s youth bowling program.

International Bowling Federation President Sheikh Talal Mohammed Al-Sabah and Kuwait National Bowling Team Coach Iyad Al-Amiri both highlighted the importance of sustained preparation and strategic efforts in developing young talent. Sheikh Talal emphasized that the results reflected Kuwait’s progress in youth sports development and the positive impact of a clear strategy aimed at enhancing the country’s competitive presence regionally and internationally.

Both leaders also acknowledged the support of the technical and administrative staff, families of the athletes, and the Kuwaiti Public Authority for Sports, citing their contributions as vital for facilitating the athletes’ success. The team’s accomplishments were seen as a continuation of Kuwait’s focus on nurturing talent and achieving greater recognition in continental and global bowling competitions.

The Kuwaiti Bowling Federation’s role in training and preparing the athletes was also noted as a key factor behind the successful outcomes. The achievement was dedicated to Kuwait’s leadership, government, and people, reflecting national pride in the team’s performance and aspirations for future sporting accomplishments.
