The Kuwaiti Council of Ministers has expressed its full solidarity with the State of Qatar in the aftermath of an explosion at a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City. The blast resulted in multiple casualties, including fatalities and injuries.

In a statement released following a cabinet meeting led by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf al-Saud al-Sabah, Kuwait extended its condolences to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Qatari government, and the families affected by the incident. The council also wished a swift recovery for those injured in the explosion.

The Ras Laffan Industrial City, located in northern Qatar, is a key hub for the country’s LNG production and export operations. The cause of the explosion has not yet been disclosed. Kuwaiti officials reaffirmed their support and solidarity with Qatar as investigations continue and aid efforts proceed.
