Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently marked the graduation of four employees who completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Dual Degree program offered jointly by the American University of the Middle East (AUM) and HEC Montreal. The bank fully funded the employees’ studies through its internal KIB Life Academy, underscoring its ongoing commitment to employee development and education.
The graduation represents the outcome of an initiative launched by KIB in 2024 aimed at enhancing human capital by providing staff with opportunities to pursue further education and increase their professional capabilities. This effort aligns with the bank’s strategy to prepare employees to keep pace with rapid changes in the banking sector, thereby supporting KIB’s future growth ambitions and adherence to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
Hadi Ibrahim Hadi, Acting General Manager of Human Resources at KIB, expressed pride in the graduates’ accomplishment, highlighting the dedication required to balance their academic pursuits alongside their professional responsibilities. He emphasized that investing in employees’ education is a direct investment in the bank’s future, as developing new skills and knowledge improves the institution’s ability to adapt and evolve.
Hadi also outlined the role of KIB Life Academy in fostering a culture of continuous learning within the bank. The academy serves as the primary platform for professional and academic development initiatives, offering various programs to meet the diverse needs of employees at different career stages. He further noted that the bank aims to be seen not merely as a workplace but as a partner in employees’ growth, reflecting the ethos behind KIB’s slogan, “Bank for Life.”
Founded in 1973 and operating under Islamic Shari’ah principles since 2007, KIB has grown into a significant player in Kuwait’s banking sector. The bank’s current strategic focus includes delivering enhanced customer experiences and maintaining solid financial performance, supported by a wide network of branches and advanced digital services. Additionally, KIB engages in active social responsibility efforts designed to positively impact the community.
The recent graduation event highlights KIB’s dedication to human capital development as part of its broader commitment to innovation and sustainable growth in the competitive banking industry.
