Kuwait Municipality has initiated a series of inspection campaigns across all six governorates to address violations related to public hygiene and the unauthorized use of public spaces, officials announced this week. The campaigns, organized by the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Departments, follow a schedule coordinated by the municipality’s Public Relations Department.
In the latest operation conducted by inspection teams from the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department in Ahmadi Municipality, authorities carried out their third field campaign targeting unauthorized use of public spaces and road encroachment. The teams issued 17 citations for violations involving the use of public areas in front of commercial establishments. Additionally, 13 warnings were given in the Mangaf, Mahboula, and Abu Halifa areas as part of efforts to enforce municipal regulations.
Kuwait Municipality stressed that these inspection efforts are ongoing and will be conducted throughout all governorates to ensure compliance with local regulations. The municipality called on commercial operators, especially shop owners, to adhere to the rules to avoid facing penalties or legal proceedings.
The initiative reflects the municipality’s commitment to maintaining public order and hygiene by monitoring and curbing infringements that affect public spaces and roadways. Enforcement activities will continue as part of a broader campaign to uphold municipal standards across Kuwait.
