Kuwait Municipality has launched an intensified field inspection campaign across all governorates aimed at enforcing municipal regulations related to safety, public hygiene, construction, licensing, and advertising. Mohammad Al-Sundan, the Municipality’s Director of Public Relations and official spokesperson, stated on Saturday that inspection teams are increasing their efforts in various sectors to ensure adherence to the relevant rules and bylaws.

The Safety Department is focusing on overseeing safety protocols at renovation and construction sites, as well as taking measures to prevent the illegal disposal of construction waste. Enforcement actions will be taken against contractors found in violation, and storage facilities operating under different contract types will be subject to inspections to verify compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

In addition, inspection teams are addressing unauthorized use of public roads and spaces, including the removal of boats occupying public squares, open areas, and parking spots within service, craft, industrial, and commercial investment zones. Boat owners who violate the regulations will be instructed to relocate their vessels to designated parking locations.

Public hygiene teams have been assigned to monitor cleanliness in areas with high population density, with the goal of reducing breaches of hygiene standards. Municipal services audit teams continue to conduct oversight of public markets, including both wholesale and retail outlets, to verify the validity of health permits held by businesses operating in different sectors.

Al-Sundan also highlighted the contribution of national engineers who are engaged in auditing and monitoring construction projects to ensure they comply with building codes and standards across residential, commercial, industrial, and craft-related developments. These coordinated inspection efforts reflect Kuwait Municipality’s commitment to enhancing regulatory compliance and public welfare throughout the country.
