Kuwait Municipality has reiterated the importance of adhering to approved building ratios and all related construction regulations, warning that inspection teams will maintain rigorous monitoring of violations across the country’s six governorates.

In a statement released Tuesday, Fahad Al-Azmi, head of the municipality’s inspection team, indicated that field teams regularly carry out inspections to enforce compliance with existing building codes. During a recent inspection tour in the Al-Salam area of Hawally Governorate, authorities identified a property that had significantly exceeded the allowed building ratio. The owner was promptly notified and requested to submit the necessary property permits to verify the additional constructed area and assess compliance with regulations.

Al-Azmi reported that the latest inspection efforts resulted in three citations and seven warnings issued for building code breaches. He emphasized that monitoring operations would persist to ensure that corrective measures are implemented by property owners found in violation.

The municipality also encouraged land and property owners to follow its official social media platforms for updates and guidance regarding building regulations. Al-Azmi further urged owners to seek direct clarification from municipal offices about regulatory requirements, noting that obtaining accurate information can streamline procedures and promote adherence to building standards.
