The Kuwait Olympic Committee convened an orientation session on August 30 for representatives of sports federations, committees, and athletes preparing to participate in the 20th Asian Games. The event is scheduled to take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

Retired Major General Mohammed Saeed Al-Khalfan, Director General of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, attended the meeting and emphasized the significance of Kuwait’s involvement in the continental multi-sport event. Al-Khalfan encouraged the delegations to perform at their highest level, stressing the importance of dedication and hard work to represent the country with honor.

During the briefing, key organizational and technical aspects of Kuwait’s participation were discussed. The committee outlined various procedures and guidelines intended to ensure the smooth operation and coordination of the Kuwaiti delegation throughout the duration of the Games. Attention was paid to preparing athletes and officials to face logistical and competitive challenges during the event.

The committee’s objectives for the Games include achieving strong results, securing podium finishes, and increasing the country’s medal tally. The meeting sought to foster a unified effort among athletes and officials in pursuit of these goals as Kuwait prepares to compete among the continent’s top sporting nations.
