The 14th Saint Petersburg International Legal Forum took place from June 24 to 26 in Russia, drawing broad international participation, including a delegation from Kuwait. Kuwait was represented by its Embassy in Russia and Acting Charge d’Affaires Counselor Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Buaijan.
Kuwait’s involvement in the forum aligns with its commitment to monitoring developments in international law and fostering communication with institutions focused on legal and diplomatic matters. This reflects the country’s broader strategy to promote respect for international law and encourage dialogue and cooperation among states.
The Kuwaiti delegation’s presence underscored the nation’s support for the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter, particularly the adherence to international law and the peaceful resolution of disputes. Kuwait also emphasized its dedication to advancing international security, stability, and cooperation through these efforts.
Organized annually by the Russian Ministry of Justice, the forum serves as a key global platform for government officials, judges, legal experts, and academics to discuss a wide range of legal issues. This year’s event featured a series of discussions on the future of the international legal order and the challenges facing multilateral legal institutions amid evolving global political dynamics. Participants exchanged views on contemporary legislation and explored mechanisms to strengthen international legal cooperation.
The Saint Petersburg International Legal Forum continues to be a significant venue for the exchange of expertise and dialogue among global stakeholders in the legal field, reflecting ongoing efforts to address complex legal challenges in an interconnected world.
