Kuwait’s Ministry of Education secured four top positions in the 10th Arab Reading Challenge, solidifying the country’s reputation for educational excellence across the Arab world. The results, announced on October 31 in Kuwait City, highlight the competitive capabilities of Kuwaiti students, educators, and institutions in a prominent cultural and educational regional initiative.

Minister of Education Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei personally congratulated the winners, expressing pride in their achievements and their role in representing Kuwait at this esteemed forum. Among those recognized were Bodour Al-Asqa, who earned second place in the Outstanding Supervisor Category out of more than 162,000 competitors; the administration of Yarmouk High School for Girls, which secured third place in the Outstanding School Category; and students Abdullah Al-Mutairi and Noor Al-Kandari, who attained high rankings in their respective categories. Al-Mutairi achieved fourth place in the People of Determination Category, while Al-Kandari was named among the Top 10 Outstanding Students in the Arab world.

The ministry emphasized that these accomplishments reflect the outcome of sustained efforts to promote culture and education, including encouraging reading habits, enhancing research skills, and fostering creativity and healthy competition among students. The success is credited to the collaborative support of supervisors, school administrations, teaching staff, and parents, all of whom helped motivate students and embed a strong culture of reading and knowledge acquisition.

Eng. Al-Tabtabaei highlighted that the exceptional performance of Kuwaiti participants demonstrates their capacity to compete at high levels and underscores Kuwait’s expanding role in regional educational and cultural fields. The Ministry of Education reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to support initiatives aimed at discovering talent, nurturing high achievers, and broadening opportunities for both Arab and international competition participation. These efforts are seen as crucial steps in enhancing students’ intellectual development and strengthening Kuwait’s standing within educational and cultural arenas across the Arab region.
