KUWAIT — The Kuwait Teachers Association has emphasized the importance of empowering educators and enhancing their professional development as key factors in advancing the country’s education system and fostering innovation among future generations. The remarks came during the closing of the association’s 46th Educational Conference, held from Sunday through Tuesday under the theme “Innovative Visions for a Sustainable Educational Future in Kuwait.”

Hamad Al-Holi, president of the Kuwait Teachers Association, highlighted that elevating teachers' status and providing continuous opportunities for professional growth are essential for building a workforce capable of contributing to national development. He underlined the significance of the patronage by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, describing it as a reflection of the leadership’s commitment to education and the recognition of teachers' vital role.

Al-Holi also praised the participation of Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, who represented the Amir’s patronage, and the presence of GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi at the conference’s opening session. Their involvement underscored the broader regional emphasis on cooperation to enhance educational standards and share expertise.

The three-day forum brought together specialists, academics, and education professionals to discuss various topics, including curriculum development, teacher preparation, digital transformation, and the integration of modern technologies to support the educational process. Al-Holi stressed the practical value of such gatherings in transferring presented ideas into tangible initiatives that improve school environments, upgrade teacher skills, and better meet student needs.

Further, he reaffirmed the association’s ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Education aimed at serving the educational sector. Honoring the contributions of education workers was described as an important gesture of appreciation, recognizing their role in shaping individuals’ knowledge and values. Al-Holi noted that rewarding excellence among educators enhances motivation, fosters creativity, encourages initiative, and strengthens the teaching profession’s societal standing.

Expressing gratitude to all involved in organizing and participating in the conference, Al-Holi reiterated the association’s dedication to supporting both male and female teachers, promoting initiatives that contribute to the development of education and reinforce its national mission.

The Kuwait Teachers Association’s annual conference continues to serve as a key platform for sharing experiences and perspectives, addressing challenges related to teachers and curricula, and exploring strategies aimed at advancing the educational process within Kuwait and the region.
