Kuwait University and the Central Agency for Remedying Illegal Residents Status (CARIRS) held a coordination meeting to enhance cooperation on issues related to illegal residents. The meeting took place recently at CARIRS headquarters, where Saleh Al-Fadalah, head of the agency, met with a delegation from Kuwait University led by Acting Secretary-General Dr. Noura Al-Suwaih.
The gathering was chaired by Acting Secretary-General Brigadier General Dr. Sharif Al-Kandari and included assistant secretaries, other senior agency officials, and members of the academic delegation. The discussions focused primarily on fostering academic and regulatory collaboration to address the challenges posed by illegal residency in Kuwait.
During the meeting, CARIRS provided a detailed presentation on its ongoing initiatives, services, and infrastructure aimed at managing and resolving issues concerning illegal residents. Both parties emphasized the importance of sustained coordination and partnership to better serve the public interest, streamline administrative procedures, and develop improved mechanisms for joint efforts.
The engagement reflects a broader attempt by governmental and academic institutions in Kuwait to integrate their roles effectively. By combining regulatory expertise with academic research and practical approaches, the agencies aim to facilitate policy implementation and enhance the efficiency of addressing illegal residency through shared resources and knowledge.
No specific outcomes or agreements from the meeting were disclosed, but the agencies underscored the significance of continuing cooperation to support Kuwait’s legal framework and public policies related to illegal residency.
