Kuwait’s national volleyball team is set to compete in its third friendly match of an ongoing training camp in Cairo, facing Petrojet as part of its buildup to the Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship scheduled for October 5 to 15 in Amman, Jordan.

The team began its preparations with a 2-2 draw against the Egyptian Army team in a four-set encounter. Following that, Kuwait secured a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Arab Contractors in their second friendly match. These warm-up games are designed to provide the coaching staff with an opportunity to evaluate player fitness and readiness while focusing on technical and tactical improvements in advance of the regional tournament.

After today’s match against Petrojet, Kuwait is scheduled to meet the Egyptian Army once more next Tuesday for its fourth friendly. The coaching staff is also contemplating arranging a fifth and final tune-up match against another national team before departing for Jordan on October 4.

Under the guidance of head coach Julian Alvarez from Argentina, assisted by national coach Zaid Al-Kadhmi, the team is intensifying its training regimen in Cairo. Their efforts emphasize elevating the squad’s technical proficiency and physical conditioning. Additionally, the coaching staff aims to foster cohesion between veteran players and rising younger talents, while refining the tactical strategies to be deployed during the Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship.
