Kuwait’s Ambassador to Algeria, Nawaf Abu Sheiba, formally presented his credentials to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Monday, marking the beginning of his tenure as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary. The ceremony, held in Algiers, highlighted the longstanding fraternal ties between Kuwait and Algeria.

During the meeting, Abu Sheiba expressed Kuwait’s solidarity and condolences in response to the devastating forest fires that have recently affected Algeria’s central and eastern provinces. He extended sympathy to the Algerian government and people, as well as to the families of those who lost their lives, and wished a quick recovery for those injured in the fires.

The ambassador conveyed warm greetings from Kuwait’s leadership, including His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, to President Tebboune. In turn, the Algerian president asked Abu Sheiba to relay his sincere regards to the Kuwaiti Amir, emphasizing the strong and distinguished relationship between the two nations.

Abu Sheiba reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation, aiming to broaden ties across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples. The diplomatic exchange underscores the ongoing efforts by both governments to strengthen their political, economic, and cultural connections.
