Kuwaiti athletes garnered notable success at the 5th Asian Paralympic Games held in Aichi Nagoya from October 18 to 23, underscoring the strength and integration of Kuwait’s sports system, according to Bashar Abdullah, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports.

This includes access to technical training, overseas camps, and necessary logistical and medical assistance aimed at preparing competitors for major continental and international events.

He further remarked that the sports system operates under a unified framework designed to nurture champions and translate athletic success into inspirational role models for future generations. Emphasizing the broader social significance, Abdullah noted that athletes with special needs play an active role within the community and contribute meaningfully to the country’s development, with their sporting accomplishments serving as motivation across various professional fields.

Looking ahead, the Public Authority for Youth and Sports plans to maintain its support for these athletes, enhance collaboration with sports federations, and increase international participation opportunities. Abdullah emphasized that these efforts reflect the dedication and pride of Kuwaiti athletes and are integral to the nation’s ongoing commitment to inclusive sports development.
