Hamad Zaid Saud Al-Bseis, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Awazem Charitable Foundation and United Nations Ambassador for Community Partnership, has been honored with an international certificate of appreciation for his efforts in supporting industrial recovery efforts in conflict-affected regions. The award recognized his role in the high-level strategic dialogue focused on the private sector's contribution to the industrial rehabilitation of Syria, Palestine, and Sudan.
The ceremony took place on June 24 at the Vienna International Centre (UNCIL) in Vienna, Austria. The event was organized jointly by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Union of Arab Chambers, and the Regional Network for Social Responsibility. Al-Bseis’s participation was acknowledged for advancing sustainable development goals, fostering community partnerships, and contributing to international discourse on recovery and resilience in countries facing complex crises.
The Al-Awazem Charitable Foundation highlighted that the recognition underscores the prominent role Kuwait and its humanitarian organizations play on the global stage. It reflects Kuwait’s ongoing commitment to engaging in international initiatives related to development, humanitarian assistance, and social responsibility. This award serves as a testament to Kuwait’s active involvement in supporting recovery and development processes beyond its borders, particularly through private sector collaboration and community engagement in fragile environments.
