Kuwait's Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraian, completed an official visit to Italy aimed at enhancing the strategic defense partnership and expanding military cooperation between the two countries. The visit took place in Rome, where Al-Shuraian held talks with senior Italian defense officials, including Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto and Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Luciano Portolano.

During the meetings, both sides reviewed the existing bilateral relations and explored opportunities to strengthen joint military cooperation. Discussions also addressed broader regional developments and shared efforts to promote security and stability in the Middle East and beyond. The talks underscored the long-standing ties between Kuwait and Italy, emphasizing a mutual interest in advancing defense collaboration.

Al-Shuraian was formally received at the headquarters of the Italian Defense General Staff in Rome, where he met with General Portolano. The engagement was later followed by a separate meeting with Minister Crosetto, during which Kuwaiti Ambassador to Italy Nasser Al-Qahtani was present. Throughout the visit, Lieutenant General Al-Shuraian was accompanied by a delegation of senior Kuwaiti military officers. Following the conclusion of the discussions, the Kuwaiti delegation returned to Kuwait on the same day.
