Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, conducted a visit to the General Department of Criminal Evidence on Tuesday to assess its operations and technological advancements. The visit took place at the department’s headquarters in Kuwait City.
During the visit, Sheikh Fahad was briefed by Brigadier General Abdulrahim Al-Awadhi, the Director General of the Criminal Evidence Department, who outlined current initiatives aimed at enhancing the department’s efficiency and capabilities. A key focus of the briefing was the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in criminal investigations. Officials demonstrated how AI is being applied to aid in identity verification and fraud detection processes.
Sheikh Fahad also toured various units and laboratories within the department to observe their workflows and the specialized technical services they provide. The visit underscored the ministry’s commitment to modernizing investigative procedures through the adoption of advanced technologies, reinforcing efforts to improve law enforcement effectiveness in Kuwait.
