KUWAIT CITY — Authorities apprehended a Kuwaiti driver for speeding at 180 kilometers per hour on Jahra Road, officials confirmed. The arrest occurred recently during a routine traffic monitoring campaign conducted by the Jahra Traffic Department.
According to a security source, officers detected the excessive speed as part of ongoing efforts to enforce traffic laws and enhance road safety. The individual was promptly stopped, subjected to legal procedures, and subsequently referred to the traffic police station for further processing.
The source emphasized that similar enforcement campaigns are being conducted across all governorates in Kuwait. These initiatives prioritize identifying speeding violations and other traffic offenses to protect motorists and pedestrians, aiming to reduce accidents linked to reckless driving.
