A Kuwaiti student delegation has departed for Switzerland to compete in the world finals of the Hydrogen Car Racing Championship (H2 Grand Prix), set to begin on Sunday. The competition will feature four teams from Kuwait representing various educational institutions and levels.
The participating teams include Kuwait University, the Public Authority for Youth team, Sabahiya School, and Maria Coptic School. Each team earned its place in the finals after advancing through multiple preparatory and competitive stages within an educational program focused on engineering, innovation, and teamwork.
According to a statement from the Public Authority for Youth, the Kuwaiti delegation’s involvement is conducted in collaboration with Kuwait University and the Ministry of Education, alongside partnerships with private sector entities. The initiative is part of broader efforts to equip Kuwaiti youth with advanced scientific knowledge and hands-on experience, enabling them to compete on an international level.
The authority emphasized that this program aims to cultivate a generation capable of adapting to global advances in renewable energy and clean technology. By participating in events such as the H2 Grand Prix, students are exposed to practical challenges that foster their skills in sustainable engineering and innovation.
The Hydrogen Car Racing Championship brings together student teams worldwide to design and race vehicles powered by hydrogen, promoting environmentally friendly technologies within the automotive field. The competition provides a platform for students to demonstrate their technical expertise while exploring new developments in alternative energy sources.
