A Kuwaiti task force charged with establishing the National Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management (Aman) traveled to Jordan to strengthen bilateral cooperation and gain insights from Jordan's established crisis management framework. The visit took place on Tuesday in Amman as part of Kuwait’s efforts to develop an integrated national system aligned with international standards.

The delegation visited Jordan’s National Center for Security and Crisis Management to study its organizational structure, operational procedures, and communication technologies. Kuwaiti officials received detailed briefings on the center’s responsibilities, coordination mechanisms among government agencies, media response capabilities, and assessment units that guide emergency management decisions.

The Kuwaiti team also toured the center’s facilities to observe its operations center, incident management protocols, and decision-support systems. This hands-on review aimed to inform the design and implementation of Kuwait’s own comprehensive crisis management system, which seeks to enhance preparedness, command and control, and response measures during emergencies.

Discussions during the visit focused on expanding cooperation and exchanging technical expertise in areas relevant to emergency management. On the sidelines, the delegation met with Jordanian Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya to explore additional avenues for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The initiative aligns with directives from Kuwaiti leadership to adopt internationally recognized best practices and ensure effective national coordination in handling disasters, crises, and emergencies. By learning from Jordan’s experience, Kuwait aims to build a robust framework to protect its citizens and infrastructure under various emergency scenarios.
