A Kuwaiti woman born in 1988 has filed a police report accusing her non-Kuwaiti ex-husband of taking their young son abroad without permission. According to the complaint submitted on Tuesday in Kuwait City, the ex-husband failed to bring their son, who was born in 2019, to a court-ordered visitation appointment.
The woman stated that she waited at the scheduled time but the child did not appear. Upon contacting the father for an explanation, she was informed that he had left the country with their son. In response, she reported the incident to the police.
Authorities informed the Public Prosecution, which ordered that a formal case be registered. The Criminal Investigations Department has since been assigned to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and to locate the child. The inquiry aims to establish whether the father's actions violated custody or visitation arrangements and to ascertain the boy’s current whereabouts.
