MacLachlan, cast as the male lead, recalled being uncertain about the film’s trajectory during shooting, noting that although some scenes pushed boundaries, he did not initially perceive any major issues on set.

MacLachlan highlighted a particularly intense scene filmed in a pool, where his co-star Elizabeth Berkley, then a relatively inexperienced actress, performed a scripted and physically demanding sequence.
