Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first child together, marking a significant milestone for the couple. The musician, 40, and the entrepreneur, 42, who have been engaged since March 2024, have maintained a low public profile in recent months, fueling speculation about their relationship status.
Gaga, whose birth name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, had not been publicly seen since August 2025, when she was photographed taking a selfie with a fan in Northern California. Prior to that, she made a rare public appearance in May at an event in Los Angeles’ The Grove. The singer concluded her global tour, The Mayhem Ball, in April 2025 after performing 86 shows over nearly nine months.
A source close to Gaga described the couple’s relationship as a “biodome of love,” adding that the pair have created a supportive and private space for the singer. “Everything is good,” the source said, emphasizing that Polansky has been a steady presence in her life during this period.
Gaga and Polansky began dating in 2019, and since their engagement, Gaga has spoken openly about her desire to start a family. In a March 2025 interview with The New York Times, she expressed excitement about motherhood while acknowledging some internal conflict regarding the changes it would bring. “I’m excited to be a mom. I used to have a lot of apprehension about it,” she said, highlighting her commitment to allowing children the freedom to discover their own identities rather than imposing predetermined paths.
In the same interview, Gaga reflected on the challenges of balancing her artistic passions with the prospect of parenthood, describing it as a “war” within herself. “Today is wonderful, but the whole day has revolved around me. There’s an incredible amount of narcissism in this,” she stated, pondering how to integrate her creative life with new family responsibilities.
Later in 2025, during an interview with Stephen Colbert, Gaga reiterated her readiness to embrace motherhood, referring to it as her hoped-for "next starring role." She expressed a desire to pursue multiple ambitions but made it clear that becoming a mother was a priority.
Representatives for the couple did not respond to requests for comment on the birth.
