The Las Vegas Aces secured a decisive 99-79 victory over the Toronto Tempo in Toronto on Tuesday, led by strong performances from A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young. Wilson contributed 26 points on an efficient 11-of-14 shooting effort, while Young posted a season-high 24 points along with 12 assists. Young also made four three-pointers, including the final one with just under four minutes remaining, which extended the Aces’ lead to 20 points.

NaLyssa Smith added 18 points for Las Vegas, improving their record to 18-7. The win also marked a milestone for Las Vegas head coach Becky Hammon, who moved into 13th place on the WNBA’s all-time coaching wins list, surpassing Richie Adubato and Pokey Chatman with her 135th career victory.

The Tempo, now 10-16, were led by Isabelle Harrison, who reached a career-high with 26 points and added 11 rebounds. María Conde contributed 15 points and eight rebounds, while Marina Mabrey scored 14 points. The loss extended Toronto’s losing streak to three games and marked their seventh defeat in the last eight outings.

Toronto was without head coach Sandy Brondello, who is serving a one-game suspension following an “inappropriate” comment made about Atlanta’s Angel Reese during a recent game against the Dream. In Brondello’s absence, associate head coach Olaf Lange took charge of the team.

The Aces’ victory demonstrated their offensive efficiency and depth, while the Tempo struggled to contain Las Vegas’ scoring runs despite the standout performances from Harrison and Conde. Las Vegas now looks to build on their strong season as they move forward in the WNBA schedule.
