PORTLAND, Ore. — Felipe Mora scored in stoppage time to secure a 2-2 draw for the Portland Timbers against FC Dallas on Wednesday night. Mora’s goal came two minutes into added time, erasing a late go-ahead strike by Dallas’ Petar Musa.

Mora capitalized on a pass from Kristoffer Velde, who had entered the match in the 55th minute and recorded a career-high third assist of the season. Mora’s goal marked his second of the campaign for Portland, which improved its record to 5-8-3.

FC Dallas took the lead in the 88th minute through Musa, who scored unassisted to give Dallas a 2-1 advantage. The goal was Musa’s 13th this season, tying him with Chicago Fire’s Hugo Cuyers as the league’s leading scorer in the race for the Golden Boot Award. Dallas held a 7-4-5 record heading into the final moments of the match.

The first goal of the game came just before halftime when Joaquín Valiente assisted Patrickson Delgado on a strike in the final minute of first-half stoppage time, putting Dallas up 1-0. Valiente’s assist was his third of the season, matching his career best in his second year in Major League Soccer.

Portland responded in the 66th minute when Kevin Kelsy scored unassisted, his seventh goal of the season and matching his career high set last year, leveling the score at 1-1.

Goalkeeping duties were shared by James Pantis for Portland, who recorded one save, and Daniel De Sousa Britto for Dallas, who made two saves during the match.

The draw left both teams searching for consistent results as the season progresses, with Portland continuing to seek their first winning streak and Dallas aiming to build on their strong start.
