Fulham are nearing an agreement to sign Romanian defender Andrei Ratiu from Rayo Vallecano. The 28-year-old right-back, who has a £21.4 million release clause, is also reportedly on the radar of Nottingham Forest. Fulham, however, remain hopeful of negotiating a lower fee for the player.
West Ham United have secured the signing of Norway under-21 winger Edvin Austbo from Viking. The 21-year-old traveled to London for a medical and is set to join the Premier League club in an £11 million deal that includes £3.15 million in add-ons. Austbo played a key role in Viking’s recent Norwegian Eliteserien title win.
Chelsea are close to completing a deal for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, viewed as a potential replacement for Enzo Fernandez. The 22-year-old Senegal international, who appeared in the World Cup this summer, may arrive in London imminently to finalize the transfer. Chelsea officials are currently negotiating a transfer fee with Monaco. Meanwhile, Manchester City are reportedly preparing to pursue Fernandez, who is valued at £120 million. Camara has featured in all three of Monaco’s matches so far this season, having recorded three goals and four assists in 31 appearances last term.
Leeds United have strengthened their goalkeeping options by signing Michael Zetterer from Eintracht Frankfurt for £4.2 million. The 31-year-old is expected to serve as backup to James Trafford. Liverpool continue to negotiate with Crystal Palace over the potential transfer of Senegal winger Ismaila Sarr. The 28-year-old has expressed a desire for a new challenge after helping Palace lift both the FA Cup and the UEFA Conference League. Liverpool have already secured the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for £123 million and added winger Victor Munoz, while also preparing for the possible departure of Cody Gakpo. The Reds’ interest in Sarr is partly fueled by the recent opening created by Rafael Leao’s move to Galatasaray and the rejection of a £55 million bid for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh.
Sarr scored 21 goals across all competitions last season and remains under contract with Palace for three more years, which strengthens the club’s negotiating position.
