Little District Books, an independent bookstore specializing in queer literature, will host the third annual Lavender Con book festival at the Hill Center in Washington, D.C. The event is scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and provides a platform to celebrate LGBTQIA+ authors and their stories.

Expanding into a larger venue this year, the festival offers two full days of author talks, panel discussions, and book signing sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with writers whose works span a diverse range of genres, including comic books, young adult fiction, romance, and science fiction.

In addition to literary events, Lavender Con will feature the Queer + Bookish Market, a marketplace showcasing products from artisans, creators focused on book-related merchandise, and various LGBTQIA+ organizations. The festival aims to foster community engagement and highlight the contributions of queer voices within the literary landscape.
