Karoline Leavitt will join Fox News as an on-air contributor beginning November 1, the network announced on October 5. This marks her first public role following her departure as White House press secretary in August.

Leavitt, 29, served as the youngest White House press secretary in U.S. history, holding the position from January 2025 until her resignation eight months later. Prior to that, she was national press secretary for Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. Leavitt's background also includes a 2022 congressional bid in New Hampshire’s 1st District and a role as communications director for then-House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik of New York.

Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott highlighted Leavitt’s combination of White House experience and campaign work, noting she brings a distinctive perspective on the current political environment. Leavitt’s hiring expands Fox News’ roster of former Trump administration communications officials, joining Kayleigh McEnany, who served as press secretary during Trump’s first term and currently co-hosts the network’s program “Outnumbered” as well as anchors a Saturday show.

Following Leavitt’s departure from the White House, Trump characterized her as a key outside advisor and an influential figure within the Republican Party. Her move to Fox News continues a pattern of former administration officials transitioning to roles in media and political commentary.
