South Korean midfielder Lee Kang-in has completed a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Atletico Madrid, signing a five-year contract with the LaLiga club that extends through June 30, 2031. The 25-year-old joins Atletico after spending three seasons with PSG, where he made 124 appearances and contributed 16 goals and 16 assists.

Lee began his professional career in Spain with Valencia, breaking into the first team in October 2018 during a Copa del Rey match. Over three seasons with Valencia, he made 62 appearances before moving to Mallorca in August 2021. After two seasons at Mallorca, Lee transferred to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023.

During his tenure at PSG, Lee was part of a highly successful squad that secured 12 trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles and three Ligue 1 championships. His individual contributions helped solidify his reputation as a versatile and creative midfielder.

On the international stage, Lee debuted for the South Korean senior national team in September 2019 and has since earned 50 caps, scoring 10 goals. He was a key player for South Korea at this year’s World Cup, participating in all three Group A matches.

Atletico Madrid’s acquisition of Lee reflects the club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen their midfield options ahead of upcoming domestic and European competitions.
