Lego has introduced a new Star Wars display set featuring the iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett, expanding its collection aimed at adult builders. The 1,544-piece model, based on Boba Fett’s appearance in *Star Wars: Return of the Jedi*, is designed for enthusiasts aged 18 and older. When assembled, the figure stands over 16 inches tall and is priced at $169.99.
The detailed set includes Boba Fett’s signature Mandalorian armor, a swiveling helmet with a range finder, a jetpack, blaster, and a fabric cape. The model allows for adjustable positioning of the head, arms, and hands to create various poses and is mounted on a base that imitates the sands of Tatooine. Alongside the larger figure, the set also features a matching Boba Fett minifigure displayed next to an information plaque.
Scheduled for release on Aug. 1, the Boba Fett model will join Lego’s expanding lineup of collector-focused sets targeting adult fans of the Star Wars franchise. This release reflects the company’s growing focus on products for adult builders, a segment that has seen significant growth in recent years. Lego currently offers more than 100 sets marketed to adults, encompassing themes such as pop culture franchises, architecture, botanicals, and vehicles. According to Lego, these sets aim to provide a creative and engaging hands-on experience while celebrating fans’ favorite movies, television shows, and hobbies.
The set also integrates with Lego’s “Build Together” mode available in the Lego Builder app, which enables collaborative building across multiple devices, appealing to families and friends who want to assemble the model collectively.
Industry experts note that adult interest in Lego has been partly driven by nostalgia, as many builders reconnect with a brand from their youth. James Zahn, editor in chief of *The Toy Book*, highlighted that Lego’s expansion into licensed franchises like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, and DC has transformed the company into a key player among collectors, offering highly detailed, display-worthy sets connected to popular entertainment properties.
Beyond nostalgia, Lego also sees adult building as a means of relaxation and creative expression. Fans describe constructing intricate models as a mindful activity that helps them unplug from daily stress while producing collectible items they can proudly showcase in their homes.
