Leiston secured a 3-1 victory over Redditch, moving up three places to seventh in the league standings. The match took place on August 30, with Leiston taking an early lead through two goals from Harvey Sayer and a late strike by Adam Mills.

Leiston started the game strongly, creating early chances as Joe Henman challenged Redditch goalkeeper Rory Brown, and Alex Cameron’s attempt was saved by Callum Robinson. The opener arrived in the 24th minute when Sayer cut inside from the right and fired a shot past Brown. Just five minutes later, Sayer doubled the lead with a well-placed strike from about 20 yards, marking his fourth goal of the season.

After a strong individual run, Hazard found the bottom left corner of Robinson’s goal. Despite this, Leiston’s defense remained resolute for the remainder of the match. Robinson contributed crucial saves denying further attempts from Redditch, and Leiston forwards Noel Aitkens and Ben Batho also came close to increasing the lead.

The match concluded with a controversial moment in stoppage time when Redditch’s Aram Soleman received a straight red card. Despite being reduced to ten men, Leiston held on to secure a notable win ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
