Leonie Fiebich was ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Wings due to left foot soreness. The player had missed Monday’s practice and was initially listed as questionable ahead of the matchup. Following the team’s shootaround, Liberty coach Chris DeMarco described Fiebich’s condition as “day to day” and noted that the team was awaiting results from an MRI scan.
DeMarco indicated that no specific incident during Friday’s win over the Minnesota Lynx had caused the soreness. “It was just general soreness,” he said, adding that Fiebich was able to shoot on the day after the game. Despite this, no further update on her status was available prior to Tuesday’s game.
In addition, Satou Sabally did not participate in her fourth consecutive game, including the recent Commissioner’s Cup championship, as she remains in concussion protocol. Sabally was present on the sideline during shootaround but did not take part on the court.
Sabally’s time with the Liberty has been affected significantly by injuries. She missed much of the offseason due to ongoing symptoms from a concussion sustained in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals last year. She also sat out the early part of this season after being diagnosed with a cyst, limiting her availability for the team’s opening games.
