Oscar-winning actor and musician Jared Leto has been accused of inappropriate behavior by a former bartender who says he pursued her despite clear refusals during an encounter in 2011. The allegations come amid a series of recent claims by multiple women accusing Leto of unwanted advances and misconduct.

Gracelisa Akers, then 25 and working behind the bar at the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, Michigan, recalled meeting Leto during a Thirty Seconds to Mars performance in April 2011. According to Akers, Leto initially approached her through an intermediary, inviting her to a party in his dressing room. She described his behavior as “handsy” and uncomfortable, noting that despite his initial claim of being a germaphobe—refusing to shake hands and using an elbow bump to greet her—he later touched her repeatedly.

Upon joining Leto and his group in the dressing room, Akers said Leto rapidly focused his attention on her, attempting to initiate physical contact by playing with her hair, holding her waist and hips, and trying to hold her hand. When she declined his offer of a drink and made clear she intended to drive home, Leto reportedly became irritated. As she prepared to leave, she said he followed her closely, attempting to pull her towards him despite her clear indications of disinterest.

Akers recounted that outside the venue, Leto accompanied her to her car, corrected her pronunciation of a word, and then began sending unsolicited text messages. The communications included a near-naked selfie sent late at night. Akers returned to school soon afterward, but the messages reportedly continued into the early morning hours.

This account aligns with allegations from four other women who have recently come forward, accusing Leto of making inappropriate advances and engaging in criminal sexual conduct, some of which involve interactions when the women were teenagers and Leto was significantly older.

Leto, 54, has not publicly responded to these specific claims. A representative for the actor stated that he has not received any formal accusations or reports and generally refrains from commenting on rumors or tabloid reports.

These latest allegations have drawn significant attention in entertainment circles as they contribute to an ongoing conversation about misconduct by public figures in Hollywood.
