Explorer and documentary presenter Levison Wood is set to undertake a 10,000-mile expedition across South America, which will be featured in a new Channel 5 series scheduled to air in 2027. The four-month journey begins in Venezuela, where Wood will visit the famed Angel Falls, the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall.

From there, he will navigate the dense and biodiverse Amazon rainforest, providing an in-depth look at one of the planet’s most complex ecosystems. The expedition will continue over the Andes mountain range, known for its challenging terrain and significant cultural history, before reaching Patagonia. The final leg of the journey will take Wood to Tierra del Fuego, the archipelago at South America's southernmost tip, noted for its rugged and remote landscape.

Throughout the series, Wood aims to explore the variety of landscapes and communities across the continent, showcasing the diverse environments and cultures from the tropical north to the icy south. The project promises to combine adventure with an emphasis on environmental and social insights.

The series marks another major undertaking for Wood, who is recognized for his long-distance walking expeditions and documentary work focusing on geography and cultural exploration. The upcoming South America Adventure is anticipated to offer viewers an extensive and immersive look at one of the world's most varied continents.
